ACT is funded through the NYS Department of Health’s CAPP Project. We provide the 6 – 8 hour evidence-based curriculum, “Making Proud Choices”, to groups of youth in Orleans & Genesee Counties. By partnering with School Districts and community organizations, we educate youth (11 to 21 years old) on responsible sexual health, free of charge. Contact us to discuss curriculum details and how we may meet your needs.
Through the curriculum implementation, ACT strives to empower youth with knowledge to:
- Effectively Communicate With Your Partner
- Make Responsible Decisions
- Delay Initial Sexual Encounter
- Lower Their Risk of Teen Pregnancies
- Reduce The Risk Of Sexually Transmitted Diseases / Infections
Due to the pandemic, a virtual version of the curriculum has been developed.
ACT can provide presentations in the community on local statistics, risky behaviors, consent, relationships, internet safety, communication and access to local sexual health care services.
