Another Narcan training class added due to overwhelming response – April 17th at Hoag Library – Register NOW!

ALBION – Due to an overwhelming response to a previous article announcing a Narcan training class March 29 at the Eastern Orleans Community Center in Holley, an additional class from 6 to 7 p.m. April 17 at Hoag Library, 134 Main St., Albion, according to Jeanette Worsley, case manager/health coach at Community Action of Orleans and Genesee.  This event is free and open to the public, however, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Training will be provided by GCASA. Participants will learn how to identify an opiate overdose and the proper way to administer the live-saving overdose reversal drug, Narcan. All attendees will receive a free Narcan kit to take home.
