Resource Fairs Scheduled

Community Action plans 3 mobile resource fairs this month with 15 agencies

ALBION – Community Action of Orleans & Genesee has announced a mobile community resource fair will be visiting locations in Lyndonville, Holley and Albion in May.

This event is made possible through the efforts Community Action’s Axis of Care program, which works to ensure equitable access to resources in all areas of the county.

Representatives from 15 local agencies will be on hand to provide information about programs and services available across Orleans County. Participating organizations include Community Action of Orleans and Genesee, Fidelis, VIA WNY/211, GCASA, UMMC Healthy Living, Orleans County Office for the Aging, Orleans County Mental Health, Roswell Park, Medicare, SNAP Ed, Oak Orchard Community Health, United Way and Cancer Services Program GOWN.

Fair dates and times are as follows:

  • Thursday, May 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lyndonville Presbyterian Church, 107 N. Main St. in Lyndonville – raffling off a $50 TOPS gift card, (2) $25 Save a Lot gift cards and several $15 food checks.

  • Thursday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Holley Fire Hall, 7 Thomas St. in Holley
  • Thursday, May 25 – 10am – 12pm @ HOAG Library (134 S. Main St, Albion NY 14411)

To encourage participation, vendors will be distributing raffle tickets to visitors who stop by their tables for information. Daily raffle prizes will include a $50 gift card, two $25 gift cards and several $15 food checks. In addition, one lucky grand prize winner will receive a $100 Wegmans gift card, which will be announced at the end of May.
